About Us

Lanes Coven is an actor-driven theater company presenting both new and classical works to the Cape Ann community and its visitors. We are committed to low cost experiences everyone can enjoy. Whether presenting indoors, outdoors, virtually, or collaborating with community partners, we will make innovative, family-friendly fare.

Next month, we present our inaugural, main event of 2021, Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, outdoors at the Lanesville Community Center, up the hill from Lanes Cove, August 26, 27, 28, 29 at 7:00pm and SEPTEMBER 2, 3, 4, 5 at Historic Beverly's Hale Farm, at 6:30PM sponsored by The Cabot.

Taming of the Shrew will be in a nautical style, set in 1910's Cape Ann amidst the thriving seafaring industries. Music, Mistaken Identities, and Love and First Sight abound in this classic Shakespeare Comedy! Come on out to enjoy gathering again, for Shakespeare Under the Stars!

We are recipients of the Awesome Gloucester Foundation Grant, and the Rockport Cultural Council.

We've collaborated with Rocky Neck Art Colony, on an interactive, variety show we created, "21 Plays" which they hosted at their Cultural Center in June.

We're working with the Cape Ann Museum September 25th on a presentation for the Community Opening day of the CAM Green
