DESCRIPTION:We're sorry to announce that Cody Forrest's "Beyond the Music" talk\, originally scheduled for Tuesday\, Jan. 23 at 7 PM\, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The new date is to be decided.\n\n\n\nHave you ever wondered what paths a musician might take outside of performing? In this new interactive talk series\, you'll meet several musicians who speak about their own unique creative space.\nTuesday\, January 23 :: 7 PM\n\nCody Forrest\n\nComposing (Personal process\, inspiration\, style)\n\nCody Forrest is a Boston based composer\, and in his own words\, he "explores the human impulse to share stories\, the interplay of musical dichotomies\, and a diverse spectrum of expressivity". He has received numerous awards\, including the grand prize from Classic Pure Vienna International Composition\, and ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award\, and received the Florence Price fellowship from the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music. Receiving his DMA from NEC\, he has had teaching appointments at both NEC and Northeastern.
