DESCRIPTION:A Service of Worship with\n\n The Vedanta Society\, Providence\, RI\n\n and\n\n \n\n\n \n\nThe Annisquam Village Church welcomes the Vedanta Society of Providence\, R.I as we join our communities in a festive service of worship on August 25\, 2019 at 10:00 am. A luncheon will follow.\n\n \n\nChristians and Hindus will sing each other's songs\, pray together\, and hear inspiring words from the writings Swami Vivekananda and from Pravrajika Shuddhatmaprana\, a nun from the Vivekananda Retreat\, Ridgely Manor\, NY.\n\n \n\nThe Village Church has a connection with Swami Vivekananda since 1893 when he first spoke from the church's pulpit  just before he made history at the first meeting of the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago \n\n \n\nHindu pilgrims still come to Annisquam to visit sites where the revered Swami visited. The Village Church has been a stop on the pilgrimage. We are very excited to be hosting this event which deepens the relationship between our two worshiping communities. All are welcome!
