Name: american / woman
Date: December 8, 2018
Time: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM EST
Event Description:
What does it mean to be a woman? What does it mean to be a woman in America? How do we create an alternative geography that follows the existing map but develops from a logic other than the dominant logic of the nation state?

In the american / woman project, choreographer Betsy Miller collaborates with dance artists from each state to explore aspects of identity in relation to culture and cultural politics. Each collaboration is centered on the identities, interests and desires of the performer.
Join us for the kickoff of this national endeavor, featuring performances by New England artists:
Shura Baryshnikov (RI)
Ali Kenner Brodsky (MA)
Alexandra James (ME)
Kellie Ann Lynch & Rachel Boggia (CT)
