During each course, the owner and brewer of Agape will lead a guided tasting with notes and descriptions of flavor pairings. First Course: Food: Beer Cheese Soup- Creamy cheddar & gruyere soup made with Pier Ave Pils, topped with bacon & pretzel croutons Beer: Pier Ave Pils- Light, pilsner-style lager brewed in collaboration with the reggae band, Pier Ave.
Second Course: Food: Pulled Pork Eggrolls- Buddy boy pulled pork with green apple coleslaw, deep fried to perfection & served with Buddy Boy BBQ : sweet heat & original. Beer: Buddy Boy Ale- Smoked pineapple cream ale brewed in collaboration with Buddy Boy BBQ and Pier 23 Kitchen.
Third Course: Food: Pancetta & Roasted Leek Flatbread- Pancetta and roasted leeks in a Parmigiano Reggiano cream sauce, topped with arugula. Beer: One Hop Wonders – Huell Melon- Series of pales ales brewed with a different variety of hops in each batch. Huell Melon hops provide delicious flavors and aromas of ripe melon.
Fourth Course: Food: Mixed Berry Tarte- Assorted berry & honey tarte topped with a fresh lemon whipped cream and pomegranate seeds. Beer: OTBrew- Pomegranate lemon shandy brewed in collaboration with the reggae band, Over the Bridge (OTB).
