Description
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO TROPICAL STORM THREAT
It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of this year's Blackburn Brew Fest, scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023. Our safety advisors have made the call that tomorrow will just not be a safe event with the current forecast of extreme weather featuring high winds gusts of up to 60mph and Tropical Storm Warning. The tents, live music, and portable restrooms weren't meant for that amount of wind (and no one wants that story to tell). We know Howard Blackburn would have powered through the storm, but this is 2023 and your safety is our first priority.
We unfortunately cannot refund tickets due to the high cost of preparing for this year’s event. But if you've already purchased tickets, you will automatically receive a complimentary ticket to next year’s Blackburn Brew Fest. Please give us time to process those transfers.
We were so lucky last year to have perfect weather and this is only our second year, so thank you for your patience with us as we encountered Hurricane Lee. We will work to expand our plans for next year to include a rain date so we can hopefully avoid the disappointment of this year.
Please consider visiting our participating brewers, sponsors and vendors at their locations in light of the cancelation.
Once again, we extend our deepest apologies for this unfortunate cancellation and thank you for your continued support of Blackburn Brew Fest. Stay safe, and we can't wait to raise a glass with you next year.
The Chamber's Next Gen Young Professionals committee is bringing back their widely successful Blackburn Brew Festival on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Stage Fort Park! Over 20 breweries will be convening from Cape Ann, the North Shore, and across New England to showcase their best brews to 1,500 attendees from far and wide. The event will also offer live music, regional food trucks and lawn games all while located at Gloucester's historic waterfront park.
The event will also be supporting a good cause as a portion of the proceeds will support local non-profits through the Cape Ann Community Foundation, an organization established by the Chamber to award grants for projects supporting educational, social service, recreational and economic initiatives throughout the Cape Ann Community.
This event is 21+, No Dogs or Children allowed
