Doors open 15 minutes before showtime. 7:00pm -9:00pm.
- Friday, December 8th will feature the BrassFed Orchestra with special guest vocalists Alessandro Schoc (O’Maley Middle School), Emily Grace, and Scott Parisi.
- Saturday, December 9th will showcase the Jambalaya Horns & Big Band with special guest vocalists Henri Smith (New Orleans) and Scarlett Berge (Gloucester High School).
Paying homage to the infectious beat and sound of the New Orleans Brass and Second-Line traditions, the BrassFed Nation will cue the “Big Four” and transport audience members to the streets of New Orleans for a Two-Night musical journey that will be full of Holiday favorites and swingin’ classics! This program will showcase a number of musicians from the New England music scene as well as members of both the Cape Ann Big Band and the Jambalaya Horns and feature over a dozen guests.
Carlos Menezes Jr’s BrassFed Nation is a horn-driven groove machine with a unique sound incorporating the styles and traditions of early jazz, New Orleans funk & soul, rhythm & blues, calypso, and Jamaican ska! Founded in 2013, The BrassFed Nation is dedicated to the advancement of horn-driven music through exposure and outreach in both education and local musical culture! The collective features 4 unique ensembles; Cape Ann Big Band, The Jambalaya Horns, DubToneBeat, and The 13-Piece DubTone Orchestra - all striving to inspire and connect students and musicians of all ages through private studio lessons, performances, workshops, and interactive clinics.
The Hammond Castle Museum will be closed to tours at the time of this event. If you wish to tour the Museum prior to 3pm on the day of this event, Self-Guided Tour tickets may be purchased in the Museum Shop at a 20% discount. Proof of purchase of the BrassFed Nation's ticket will be required.
