On Thursday, November 17 from 6:30-8:00 pm, Maritime Gloucester will host Harold Burnham for The Shipwright and the Schooner book talk and signing The Shipwright and the Schooner is an exploration into traditional New England shipbuilding, and it is a journey of discovery for both the author, who has spent his life building wooden boats, and the photographer, Dan Tobyne who had his first experiences in the boatyard. The book chronicles in words and stunning color photographs the construction, launch, and subsequent season of sailing aboard the Ardelle. Event will be held in Maritime Gloucester's Gorton's Gallery, 23 Harbor Loop Gloucester, MA 01930. Books will be available for purchase at the event. Spirit tasting generously provided by Ryan & Wood Distilleries. There is no admission charge for the event, but reservations are strongly encouraged as space is limited.
