The Museum is located in the heart of downtown Gloucester, one block north from Main Street and one short block east of City Hall and the Sawyer Free Library. Metered parking is available in the public lot across from the Museum. Gloucester is also easily accessible by public transportation on the MBTA commuter rail, which connects Cape Ann directly with the greater Boston area and beyond. From Boston's North Station, take the Newburyport/Rockport line to the Gloucester stop; the Museum is a short walk (0.4 miles) from the train station.

The Museum is free and open to the public all day. Make ornaments, view art, tour historic Middle Street and celebrate the holidays! The Museum shop is fully stocked with a unique selection of holiday gifts for anyone on your list. CAM members receive 10%-20% off so don't forget to join or renew. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Ornament Making 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Create a winter-themed holiday ornament in the Museum's activity room, including cranberry wreaths, clementine balls and two ornaments inspired by the Folly Cove Designers. Half-Hour Guided Walking Tour of Middle Street 10:30 a.m. - Departs from the Museum Captains, City Fathers and Cultural Icons This mini-tour explores the neighborhood that two centuries of Cape Ann's movers and shakers called home. From the Revolutionary period to the peak of 19th century fishing and trade, families such as the Davises, the Mackays, the Fosters and the Sawyers, made significant contributions to a city in the making. Docent Led ''Highlights'' Tour 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This one-hour guided tour will take visitors through the Museum to view some of its most popular works and maybe a few of the guide's personal favorites. Tour starts in the Museum Lobby. Self Guided Tours of the Davis House 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Captain Elias Davis House (1804) is decorated for the holidays and will be open for self-guided tours. Museum guides will be stationed in the house to answer any questions. Half-Hour Guided Walking Tour of Middle Street 11:30 a.m. - Departs from the Museum Division, Dissention, Diversity This mini tour highlights Middle Street's history as a cradle of religious freedom, from the Jewish Temple at the eastern end of the street, to St. John's Church at the western end, as well as historic homes of religious leaders and progressives including Rev.
