Renowned Blues guitarist Ronnie Earl, a four-time Guitar Player of the Year at the Blues Music Awards, is set to grace Rockport with his presence, accompanied by his esteemed band, The Broadcasters, in celebration of their 35th anniversary and his latest release, the critically acclaimed "Mercy Me." Born Ronald Horvath in Queens, New York, in 1953, Earl embarked on his musical journey at twenty, pushing the boundaries of electric blues guitar playing and leaving an indelible mark on the genre. His tenure with the legendary Roomful of Blues in the late '70s catapulted him into the spotlight, and his subsequent solo career has seen him collaborate with blues icons such as Hubert Sumlin, B.B. King, and Carlos Santana. Earl's contributions to the blues community extend beyond his performances; he has also shared his expertise as an Associate Professor of Guitar at Berklee College of Music and through teaching at prestigious workshops.
