Description
Caleb Stone, a Cape Ann-based painter and member of the North Shore Arts Association, studied at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. Working in both watercolor and oil, he draws inspiration from French and American Impressionists and was introduced to plein air painting by his father, Don Stone N.A., in the Rockport art colony. A recipient of numerous awards, including the John Stobart Fellowship and the Land and Light Gold Medal, Caleb teaches workshops regularly and was recently named an Elected Artist at the Lyme Art Association.
Join Caleb Stone for a dynamic plein air painting workshop focused on capturing light and atmosphere using a limited palette of red, yellow, and blue. Each day includes a location demo, personalized instruction, and a group critique, with Caleb alternating between oil and watercolor demonstrations. Class meets daily at 9:30am at the NSAA and runs from 10am to 4pm; students should bring lunch, water, and full painting gear.
