A class specifically for teens and tweens to support core strength, balance, and flexibility. College and professional athletes are seeing the positive impact yoga has on their game from both a physical standpoint and mental standpoint. At Treetop Yoga, we believe it is never too early to start yoga. Not only will you strengthen and lengthen your body, but you will learn mindfulness techniques to help both in the classroom and during competition. After a sweaty practice, we will close each practice with a guided meditation so everyone will feel ready to finish homework and get an excellent night of sleep.
This four week series is perfect for the teen who is in between fall and winter sports or for the teen who is looking to add a new component to his or her workout. Drop in to any of the four classes, or sign up in advance for all four weeks.
The final week, November 26, will serve as a fundraiser for the O'Maley hockey team. All payments for class will go directly to the team.
Erin is a former public school educator and mom of four. She learned the value of yoga during her own training for the Boston Marathon and sprint triathlons and wishes she had started practicing much earlier in life. Her training in Balanced Athlete and experience teaching tweens and teens creates a program that focuses on the whole body.
