About Us

Adult Foster Care of the North Shore (AFCNS) is a compassionate, MassHealth-funded Adult Foster Care program that provides in-home support to adults who need assistance with daily living due to medical, cognitive, or developmental conditions. For more than 20 years, we’ve helped eligible adults—age 16 and older—live safely and comfortably with dedicated caregivers, often family members, who offer 24-hour supervision, personal care, and meaningful daily support.
Caregivers receive a tax-free stipend, ongoing guidance, and 24/7 access to a responsive care team. AFCNS provides monthly nursing and case management visits, a full caregiver training program, and both health and financial resources to ensure stability, dignity, and community connection for every member.
