Marion Rayner is a experienced watercolor artist. She resides in Gloucester, MA. After a career as an elementary art teacher, Marion now pursues painting full time. Painting primarily in watercolors en plein air, she exhibits her work at Local Colors Artist Cooperative in Gloucester, the North Shore Art Association, and the Annisquam Exchange Gallery. Her paintings have won numerous awards and honors.
In addition to painting, she especially enjoys instructing others in art. As the saying goes “once a teacher always a teacher,” she provides private watercolor instruction to adult students in the area. Marion also enjoys teaching plein air workshops to groups.
Marion’s inspiration comes from the natural beauty that surrounds her on Cape Ann. She is particularly fond of the landscapes, seascapes and scenes around her home. Striving to capture the mood and essence of the day is her main objective.
This showing will be on display in the museum shop from 10 am to 3 pm daily, beginning Saturday December, 7th through Friday, December 20th. (Please note: The museum and the museum shop will be closed on Saturday, December 15th.)
